"Dances Through Glass" is a retrospective of 25 years of Polly Norman's art making. The book includes 44 full page images of her artwork. A personal essay at the beginning of the book, "Soaring and Crashing," describes her struggles with anxiety, depression and mania.
The artwork is divided into three groupings according to their reflected dance styles. Art historian and critic, Bianca Sandino writes an overall introduction and detailed descriptions introducing each section. An interview and essay by George Slade, Photography Historian is also included.
